   This 40' box car with double doors was built at UP's Omaha, Nebraska shops in December 1940. When rebuilt in July 1946, it was painted light gray with dark gray and white bands, and white lettering. UP 9213 was part of a 10-car fleet, which was used in express service. To that end they were equipped with Allied full-cushion trucks (designed for high-speed freight cars). This express fleet covered in a month as many miles as most cars covered in a year.
