Chill out with the new Athearn® Genesis® FGE Reefer. Available for the first time ever in HO, this is the first Genesis freight car available with onboard sound—the genset or refrigeration unit runs on DC or DCC and actually cycles on and off automatically. Choose from a variety of roadnames in three body types.

The reefer is available “as-delivered” or “modernized.” The genset is visible through the see-through screens on the as-delivered reefers. The modernized versions have tractor-trailer-style refrigeration units. All models have eithertruck-mounted or body-mounted underbody brake details per prototype. And they all come with more than 20 separately applied details, including seethrough end platforms, door rods, coupler cut bars, air hoses and more.
