This 56’ general service tank car is painted black with white logo and lettering. It was built in July 1962 by GATC in Hearne, TX, and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. This super-sized 56’ general service tank car is identified as a crude oil tank car, but on the GN has been carrying coconut and soybean oils and cresylic acid as well as crude oil. An order of 50 were delivered in 1962.
