This 40’ despatch stock car is painted red with white masked sides. Lettering is both white and black on red placards. It was built in 1958, serviced in September 1981, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Numbered into a 200-car road series 277000-277199, it features eight panels per side. Stock cars that were shopped before 1968 were left in their original Freight Car Brown with white paint; cars that were shopped after 1968 received the new CP Action Red and white paint scheme. The lower portion of the stock car sides were painted white to camouflage the use of lime spray used to disinfect the cars after cleaning.
