FDDM (C&NW) ex-EL 14-panel hoppers. In the mid-1980s, Conrail sold a number of their remaining 14-panel hoppers, still in full EL dress, to Chicago & North Western for use in moving ballast. C&NW chose to re-stencil just the reporting marks upon delivery, however the CNW 33000 series was already occupied. So the reporting marks were changed to FDDM of the Fort Dodge Des Moines & Southern, an Iowa shortline acquired by C&NW in 1968. This run will be available in 3 road numbers with “ballast” loads.
