This 50’ flat Car is painted olive drab with white lettering and carries a 40’ gray container featuring ‘Surprise Attack’ art. Like many planes in WWII, this B-24 bomber was decorated with custom artwork by its pilot to personalize the plane. The ‘Surprise Attack’ B-24 bomber was part of the 14th Air Force, the 308th Bomb Group and 374th Squadron. The original panel displaying this art is at the American Airpower Heritage Museum in Midland, TX.

This summer Micro-Trains will bring the highly requested WWII Nose Art Series to N scale! This series will feature a variety of WWII nose art on 40’ Containers carried on 50’ Flat Cars. Each container will be marked with the plane’s squadron number, group number, Air Force Division, number of missions and the division patch art. The container colors will be Oliver Drab or Aluminum depending on the color of the plane the nose art came from. The first release in the series will be the “Heavenly Body” container and flat car. The series will also include a locomotive and a caboose.
