This 51’ 3” mechanical reefer with rivet sides, single plug door and bearing roofwalks, is painted aluminum with yellow sides with blue bands. It bears the 20” blue and white oval New York Central logo. white reporting marks/road numbers, ‘Mechanical Reefer’ designations, and black small lettering. It was built in July 1956 by Pacific\ Car & Foundrey of Renton, WA, and run on Roller Bearing trucks. It wears the standard NYC scheme for mechanical refrigerator cars—aluminum roof and ends, yellow sides with a blue stripe and type 4 ‘New York Central’ herald.
