ATH-GEN-LOGO

From 1954 to 1963, more than 4000 of these locomotives were built and used by many railroads. Equipped with an EMD 567C 16 cylinder prime mover, these four axle workhorses have gone on to serve all over North America and beyond. They proved so sturdy, that some were later converted to GP15C's. Today, many examples of this locomotive remain in use with their second, third, fourth and beyond owners.
