Louisiana & Arkansas offset side hoppers. The L&A connected Dallas with Baton Rouge and New Orleans. In 1939, they became a subsidiary of Kansas City Southern. but were not completely merged until 1992. L&A took delivery of these hoppers in 1949 and used them for coal, sand, crushed rock and gravel service. This run will be available in 3 road numbers with “coal” loads.
