This is the original paint scheme of what are known as "The Wheat Board Cars". Between 1972 and 1985, four Government agencies would combine to purchase and supply CP & CN with approximately 19,000 covered hopper cars, built to a common standard. They were to be used soley for transporting grain.

Historical Perspective
Cars fromt he CNWX 112000-112026 & CNWX 112500-112645 series (total of 173) were transferred from the series CPWX 600000-601073 (not sure which ones) in 1990, the only time cars were moved between CP & CN.
