Colorado & Southern – red and black 3-Bay Offset Side Hoppers. This group of C&S hoppers was built during the summer of 1961, probably by C&S’s parent Chicago Burlington & Quincy in their Havelock Shops. Havelock had built thousands of identical hoppers for “the Q” since 1948. In addition to the C&S reporting marks, this group also differed from most of the CB&Q cars in that the bottoms of the cars were painted black instead of the same Chinese Red used on the sides and ends. This run will be available in 6 road numbers.
