Powered A Unit - Dummy B Unit WITH WINDSHIELD AND PORTHOLES As the perfect motive power for the new Athearn Ready-To-Roll ? passenger cars, these locomotives are sure to be popular. These exciting units are fully assembled, and for the first time INCLUDE windshield, side windows and porthole glass. New York Central?s main line was the famed ?Water Level Route? from New York City to Chicago. NYC had a slow start toward dieselization, buying just two A-B-B-A sets of FT?s, two F2A?s, 34 F3A?s and 18 F3B?s. Between 1949 and 1952, NYC acquired 238 F7A?s and 54 F7B?s. Using the tooling from the regular Athearn line F7 series, these striking new Ready-To-Roll? units will be fully assembled, in an easy to display window box. Arriving in June, they are sure to be popular.
