The 40? steel boxcar dominated railroading the railroad scene from the 1930?s to the 1970?s. As a rule these cars were painted a nondescript brown that just did not call attention to them. The second release of the Ready-To-Roll? 40? Box Car is decorated in six dramatic paint schemes that jump out and demand attention. As with all RTR offerings the painting and printing are spectacular. The addition of metal wheel sets, precise weighting and knuckle couplers provide for a car that runs as good as it looks.
