This summer will mark the beginning of our newest series featuring 7 prototypical Baby Ruth freight cars from the 1920’s and early 30’s. This series will consist of six colorful billboard reefers and one tank car, all displaying elaborate ads for Baby Ruth which was owned then by Curtiss Candy Company. Baby Ruth was acquired by Nabisco in 1981 and Nabisco sold the Curtiss brands to Nestlé in 1990.

This 39’ single dome tank car is painted white with red letteirng and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Leased from North American this tank car was probably used to transport bulk corn syrup or other liquid sweetener
