The United States Postal Service is one of the earliest official departments of the United States government. Founded at the inception of the nation it continues to deliver the mail well into its second century. To commemorate this long service and the Postal Service's participation in the daily life of America, Athearn is proud to announce its Fifty States Commemorative program. Athearn is producing a limited edition series of trucks, boxcars and billboards featuring state stamps issued by the Postal Service honoring each of the fifty states of the Union. The unique and collectible models will be released in the order of statehood.
