Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. was founded in 1947 by Robert Henry Sr. originally as Vancouver Kamloops Freightlines Ltd. (The company name was changed to its present form in 1962). Almost 70 years later, Van Kam continues to flourish, a proudly independent BC family owned and operated business.

Headquartered in Surrey, British Columbia, Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. is a privately-held asset based transportation solutions provider offering LTL, TL, and Dedicated Fleet services. With directly operated facilities in British Columbia and Alberta, along with partner carriers with coverage into the rest of Canada and the United States, Van Kam is equipped to service all of your transportation needs.

Our keen understanding of our customers’ needs and the complexities of the transportation business has allowed us to put the right programs and procedures in place to get our customers’ freight to its destination reliably, on-time and damage-free.

In the Fall of 2013 we opened a new, state-of-the-art terminal in Kelowna, BC. We continued to make further upgrades to our infrastructure completing the construction of a brand new terminal in Prince George, BC in 2014. We are continually expanding our service points coverage and overnight schedules to meet the changing needs of our valued customers.While some companies find it difficult to compete in today’s economy, Van-Kam Freightways Ltd. has found a way to grow by continuing to demonstrate value to our customers and maintaining a commitment to provide service excellence!
