This 40’ standard box car with plug door is brown with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1960, as part of series 290201-290501, this car was part of an order of 300 units that were fitted with underslung heaters to provide above freezing temperatures during long transits. They were initially used for food stuffs but also found use carrying commodities that were somewhat temperature sensitive.
