This 50’ gondola with fishbelly sides and drop ends is synthetic red with yellow lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1957, as part of series 30000-30699, these cars filled the need for specialized gondolas. Eventually, these cars were rebuilt and reduced to 68-ton capacity due to added adjustable bulkheads and car covers to better protect the loads they carried.
