From the 1982 acquisition of the Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern by Soo Line until they were repainted, the two MNS SD39s had several details changed. An additional air whistle was added to the cab, and plows were added to the units. They also received Soo Line style numberboards. This release of MNS SD39s depicts the units in their later appearance.
