Kanamodels - HO Scale - Canadian Pacific (E & N) Interlocking Tower - Comox Logging (SKU 436-1059)

This Interlocking Tower protected the E & N railway where the Comox Logging railroad crossed it near Ladysmith BC. It is typical of small interlocking towers found on every railroad in North America. This tower operated both semaphore signals and derails where the two lines crossed and was in use until the mid 1970's when logging ended. Besides Comox Logging, (later Crown Forest and the Crown Zellerbach) it also saw trains from McMillan Bloedel. Locomotives that ran over this interchange at one time or another included Shays, Light Mikados, CPR E9 4-6-0's, Baldwin DS44's, Budd RDC cars and others. This size tower could handle up to 12 levers. This model includes the unusual fire escape (shown above on the right hand photo,) laser cut walls and colour coded stripwood, Specially cast windows, doors and even the blanked out windows on the bottom are  included for easy construction.
