Kanamodels - HO Scale - Prince Edward Island Railroad (PEIR) / Canadian National Railroad (CNR) - Freight Shed (Limited Run) (SKU 436-1069)

The Prince Edward Island Railway (PEIR) was a narrow gauge line with about 280 miles of track on the island Province. It was merged with the Intercolonial Railway and thus with the CNR in the early 20s and converted to standard gauge in about 1930. This freight shed had many variations over its life span but our model is of the the more common configuration. We  thank Steve Hunter for his research and drawings of this building which has enabled us to create an accurate model of this interesting prototype. Besides the laser cut board and batten walls, custom cast windows and door, Campbell shingles and Mt. Albert scale colour coded lumber easy to follow instructions with many construction photographs are included. 6 variations of the loading platform are included to fit the needs of any layout. The overall footprint in the configuration show above is 6.5" x 3.5".
