UP “1997 H-100-19 Black Repaint V2” in the black carbody with yellow ends scheme, with modernized UP fonts but simplified with a red, white, and blue UP shield.  This is a variation on an earlier repaint scheme we offered, but with subtle lettering differences, and a different location for the UP shield.  As always, we work off prototype photos and select all road numbers accordingly.

These distinctive 100 ton quad hoppers match the Union Pacific specification and were built by Bethlehem Steel in the 1970s.  Our UP replicas represent more than 6,900 “quad” hoppers, UP’s largest fleet of coal hoppers in company history. Available in 2 all-new numbers for 2019 — and yes, the UP Shield logo is correctly placed in the third panel from the right, as shown in the prototype photo below! This makes for an interesting variation from the first 3 numbers we released in 2013, where the logo was one panel more panel to the right… Ah, variety!
