Available On: December 1, 2019
The Chicago & North Western 400 Series Trains were named for the concept of a “400 mile trip in 400 minutes,” with one of the most well-known examples being the Twin Cities 400 between Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Pullman Bi-Level Passenger Cars started their operation on the Flambeau 400 and the Peninsula 400 trains in 1958. In addition to the Bi- level coaches, these two 400 trains also included a special Bi-Level Parlor Car and a Coach-Buffet Car to distinguish the service level from regular Chicago & North Western commuter trains and meet the rider’s needs on the longer distance trips.
Kato USA will be releasing a brand-new mini-named train similar to the Silver Streak Zephyr with this new bookcase train release! Like the Silver Streak Zephyr, this locomotive + 5 car bundle will come packaged in an elegant bookcase style package and will give modelers an easy way to add a complete train to their collection!
This train set will come with brand new tooling Pullman Bi-Level Cars, available for the first time in N scale from Kato USA, and available exclusively in Chicago & North Western paint as part of this special release set!
These locomotives and car sets are will also be available with pre-installed DCC as standard Distributor items, as well as with ESU LokSound DCC as a built-to-order Kobo item.
Kobo sets will be available with Sound & DCC or the set can be ordered in Analog (DC) and Standard DCC!
