40' Standard Box Car, Single Door

These 'passenger express box cars' were designed to move with fast passenger trains. After the Burlington Northern merger of 1970, they were renumbered and used as maintenance of way cars. G.N. 2528 is a 40' standard box car with single door (Superior) painted Pullman Green with yellow lettering on sides and ends. The 72" Goat Monogram is white on a caboose red inner circle. Outer circle and lettering are yellow in Pullman Green. It was built in March of 1948 at St. Cloud, MN.

G.N. 2510 is a 40' standard box car with single door (Youngstown) painted Pullman Green with yellow lettering on sides and ends. The 72" Goat Monogram is white on a caboose red inner circle and outer circle. Yellow background ring has black lettering. It was built in August of 1945 in St. Cloud, MN.
