Our 2019 holiday car utilizes our new USRE class X72 boxcar

In keeping with tradition begun in 2012, The only fully non-prototypical ESM series is the one that features the seasonal holiday cars! This year’s rendition is rendered on our new X72 boxcar. Matte white paint simulates newly-fallen snow. Multi-color printing includes silver snowflakes, light gray doves, a “Peace on Earth” banner with an abstract holiday tree forming a peace sign with the “O”, and festive lights.

The model body and underframe are injection molded plastic, with etched brass end platforms. Intricate and accurate detail is present throughout. The model rides at the prototypically-correct height above the rails, on silver ASF 70-ton Ride Control roller-bearing trucks fitted with low-profile metal wheelsets and Keystone cushioned underframe. Simulated cushioned-underframe coupler pockets are integrated into the underframe. The model is equipped with silver Micro-Trains Magne-Matic knuckle couplers.
