This 40ft standard box car with single door and no roofwalk is brown with white lettering and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. HERB-1 was a non-revenue car used for safety awareness across the MP system. Officially sanctioned by Missouri Pacific and applied to the car sides in 1979 by an employee, the artwork was designed in the style of Herbie Meyer, a legendary early graffiti artist and switchman for MP who retired in 1980.
