Kato will make a scale model of the EH500 the 3rd , which is currently operated as a main locomotive of JR Freight, in the latest color scheme. EH500 is an AC/DC Electric Locomotive with two combined bodies and 8 wheel axles that is in service to draw freight trains in the section of Kammon tunnel as well as in metropolitan and east-northern areas.

As the GPS antenna has become unnecessary thanks to the drivers support system introduced in 2008, GPS antenna is removed.
