
The Taiwan High Speed Rail (commonly known as Taiwan High Speed Rail) is the first Shinkansen in Taiwan that opened in 2007 between Taipei and Kaohsiung (345km). The tracks and equipment are owned by the European Union, but the vehicle was developed based on the 700 Series Shinkansen, which is active on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen.
The 700T vehicle, which was developed according to the climate of Taiwan, has a maximum speed of 300 Km / h and is active in connecting Nangang (Taipei) and Sae (Kaohsiung) in a maximum of 1 hour and 36 minutes.
