■ The EF61 is a DC class electric locomotive for passenger use, which was completed in 1961. Its main feature is that it is longer than the EF60 and EF65 because it is equipped with a steam generator (SG) for heating and water/fuel tanks. It is famous for double heading trains operated by EF61s and EF58s.
