Ishikawa Railways (IR) is a joint public-private venture generated to control part of the former Hokuriku mainline due to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train line. Series 521 assigned by JR West Japan is now in service on the line. Kato will make the scale models of 3 trains assigned in 2015.
With Kagagosai, 5 traditional colors in the region, made the theme colors, the distinctive accent colors are painted on the horizontal belts and the side handles for passenger protection, thus distinguishing the models from each other.

Just like the real trains, you can connect two different scale model trains, each consisting of two cars, to make a total 4 car train.

The real trains of this model are in service between Kanazawa and Ainokaze Toyama Railways Toyama stations. So you can operate these scale model trains along with Series 521 of JR West Japan and Ainokaze Toyama Railways to and from those stations.

● In 2015, JR West Japan transferred 2 trains of Series 521 3rd to Ishikawa Railway. Using "Kaga 5 colors" for local traditional crafts, accent colors are painted varying from train to train on body stripes and fall prevention cushion shields.
