This model shows the Series 381 "YAKUMO" (Renewed Composition) as it could be seen after 1997, painted in gray with a green and yellow belt.
Through the combination of the Basic Set and the Add-On Set, various compositions can be recreated.


With this, the lineup of trains that arrive and depart from Okayama Station becomes richer. Okayama Station is a focal point of the Chugoku Region's railroads.

Features

・This item portraits the train after the completion of various upgrades that were being installed on the prototype since 1997. It shows the front car with its whistle removed and the logo on the front part in place.

・The head and tail lights are illimunated. The Kumoha 381 from the Basic Set is equipped with a switch to turn the lights off in case of combining the add-on set to make a longer 9-car train set.

・Even smoother and quieter train operations are realized through the implementation of the slotless motor.

・With KATO's unique pendulum mechanism, the train's inward tilt as it passes through a curve is recreated true to the original.

・DCC friendly
