KATO will be releasing a new version of the double-track starter set, a higher grade introductory set that allows you to enjoy two trains at the same time, the E5 Series "Hayabusa" and the E6 Series "Komachi", on double tracks.

This gorgeous starter set includes a canted PC sleeper double track, two Powerpack Standard SX units. You will soon be able to enjoy two trains passing each other and driving together as seen on the real train. You can combine various track sets and structures to expand your track plan as you wish, making it a good choice for those who are just starting out with N-gauge.

Starting with this product, the E5 Series will be updated to the form currently in service (equivalent to 10-1663) with some of the windows filled in. This is a starter set to enjoy the latest Series E5/E6 Shinkansen.

※The product number and barcode have been changed from the old product. The existing <10-005 SL Train Starter Set> and <10-031 E5 Series Shinkansen "Hayabusa" and E6 Series Shinkansen "Komachi" Double-track Starter Set> will be discontinued.
