N Scale

Custom-built by ATSF in 1975, a total of 500 BX-177 boxcars were built at Santa Fe’s car shops in Topeka, KS. Measuring 61’6” in length (66’ 1/2” over the strikers), this icon of beer transportation has proven invaluable to the Santa Fe and then the BNSF. With over 40 years in service and a dozen plus paint schemes between Santa Fe and BNSF, these boxcars are still serving major breweries with pride.
