● The Wamu 90000 series is one of the popular covered freight cars representing the national railways, manufactured starting in 1953 (Showa 28). It can be divided into two groups: one that modified the running gear of the pre-war Wamu23000 series to a two-stage link mechanism, and another that was newly manufactured from the beginning as the Wamu90000 series.
