Making its long awaited appearance, we are introducing the "Two-Headed Coupler"!

● This coupler is equipped with the functions of both the "Janney Coupler," used for locomotives and passenger cars, and the "KATO Coupler Tight Lock Coupler," primarily used in electric trains, allowing for easy coupling between locomotives and electric trains.

There are two types of the KATO Coupler Tight Lock Coupler which differ in shape.

Please choose the type according to the vehicle you would like to connect it with.

Simply replace the original coupler of the locomotive

The new coupler enables coupling of locomotives and electric trains.

This way you can experiment with activities such as special freight transport and retired vehicle transfers!

Caution:

• Because this coupler contains functions for both the Janney Coupler and the Tight Lock Coupler, the vertical clearance (i.e. the space above and below the coupler) is reduced. For this reason, there is a possibility of operational issues depending on the conditions of the vehicles and tracks.

• The coupler’s moving part (attached to the DE10 shown in the image above) slightly touches the snowplow, making the pivoting motion slightly stiff.

• Additionally, the EH200 (Item No. 3045) cannot be installed because the snowplow and coupler interfere with each other.
