● Item Introduction
The DF50 equipped with a Sulzer engine, active in the Shikoku region.
● The DF50 is a diesel locomotive that was built as a prototype in 1957 in order to switch non-electrified sub-main lines to smokeless operation. It served as an addition to the fleet until 1963. The power transmission system is electric and works by directly connecting the power generator to the diesel engine and using the DC power generated to drive the main motor. Among the different versions, the 0-series were equipped with engines made by the Swiss company Sulzer, and were widely used around the Shikoku area, for example on the Dosan Main Line.
● The DF50 locomotive is now available with new specifications. The number plate is now insertable, and the front handrail has been improved for easier installation. In addition, a 2 car-set suitable for double-headed formation is also being released. This is ideal for towing the <8089・10-2007 HOKI 5200 Tosa Freight Cars> , which are scheduled for release at the same time!
