The long-distance runners of Northeastern Japan, the Series 701.

● The Series 701-1000 Morioka Color and the Aoimori Railway 701 Series active in the Northeast of Japan are back! The Series 701-1000 features a distinctive purple line that contrasts with the colored stripe on the skirt. The Aomori Railway 701 Series includes the popular and adorable "Molly" character in its graphic wrap.

◆ This product now uses a slotless motor (as opposed to previous products). The item number, price, and JAN code have been changed accordingly.

◆ Product Features

① Series 701-1000 Morioka Color

  • The bogie and underfloor mechanisms are a grey color, and the skirt has been realistically recreated.
  • A coupler carrier (with 2 different jumper plug positions) and electric couplers are included.
  • The LED-type destination display has been reproduced, the side displays are in plain black text.

② Aoimori Railway 701 Series

  • The model accurately imitates the iconic design of the "Molly" character graphic wrap.
  • The different placements of the reinforced skirts (with a snowplow shape) for the KUMOHA and KUHA have been replicated. (Please note that the couplers cannot swivel in this form. Please use the separately included skirt designed for coupled operation when connecting the front ends.)
  • The bogie and underfloor mechanisms are reproduced in a dark-grey colour. The coupler covers have also been replicated.
