To our knowledge, this paint scheme of New York Central has never been available before in N Scale. These cars were rebuilt by NYC in their Beech Grove shops in 1965. They were then assigned to a dedicated service as denoted by the black "A" in the yellow circle. During the rebuild, the traditional black ends and roof were dispensed with and the car was painted solid Century (Jade) green. NYC had been in the practice of placing their road numbers to the right of the door since the late 50's. This was so the open door wouldn't obstruct the large Cigar-Band logo. That would not have been a problem with this new smaller logo but old habits die hard. This car is available in singles and 2 packs for a total of 3 different road numbers.
