Attn: customers, below is a cross image explaining the differences between Atlas Code 55 and Peco Code 55 N Scale Track. You will notice because the Peco Track is in-bedded into the plastic of the tie's it allows the inside of the rail to have additional clearance of the flange from a car or engine as it travels along the track.

Most N Scale cars have extended or enlarged flanges on the wheels to allow for a deeper penetration of the flange to allow for a smaller chance of a derailment. You will sometimes experience problems using Atlas Track if you have N Scale cars with deep flanges on the wheels i.e. older Micro Trains cars and Kato Engines.
