This 50' gondola with fishbelly sides, drop ends and stone load is black and lettered in C&O Federal Safety Yellow. It runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks. Built in July 1937 by Bethlehem Steel and numbered into the 363050-363149 series. In July 1981 the series was serviced at Raceland Shops and stenciled with the "Ches-C" logo designed by Franklin Carr for the "Chessie System". This paint scheme was applied to "Chessie System" equipment from 1972 through 1986. In mid 1986, the Chessie System vanished into the CSX Corporation. Here the "Ches-C" herald is stenciled just to the right of center. This scheme also includes the use of the "Keep Safety Rolling" slogan.
