The prototype for this building was located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, on the Esquimalt and Nanaimo division of the Canadian Pacific. It protected the main line near Chemanius where it was crossed by a logging railroad eventually owned by Crown Zellerbach. It is typical of small crossing shanties found all over North America. It has windows on all 4 sides for visibility and is raised a couple of feet due to the fact as it was to the side of the track and thus sitting below rail height. A cast shingle roof and steps are in addition to the EXPRESS features.The footprint is 1.5" x 1.25"
