These miniature capacitors are manufactured by Kemet, one of the largest capacitor manufacturers in the world. Compared to typical film-wound capacitors these tantalum capacitors have a much smaller case size for the same storage capability. The N3100 is 100?f (microfarads) at 16-volts and is supplied in either a 6-pack or 24-pack. The N3068 is 68?f (microfarads) at 25-volts and is supplied in either a 10-pack or 40-pack.These capacitors can be "ganged" in parallel to achieve the amount of capacitance you need while still fitting in very small spaces. The 25-volt capacitors are ideally suited for HO power packs that exceed 16-volts DC, and most S, O and G scale power supplies.
