RailDriver reference software brings you hard-to-find bookson easy-to-use CD-ROMs. Each book has been painstakingly scanned, the text read and the images embedded so that they are easily navigated just like a Web site. While optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer, the CDs can also be read on other systems including Macintosh. Railway cyclopedias were packed with photos and minutae ranging from boiler drawings to the general arrangements of trackside appliances. Drawings, photos and charts were used by railroaders for maintenance and modifications.
