On Friday morning before President Bush passed away we had 24 of his Presidential Library #4141 SD70 Ace on the shelf. On Monday they were sold out in 4 hours. We have many customers who have stand-by orders if we could get more. We talked to Kato yesterday and they told us to expect an announcement today. So here it is, all of you who wanted engines order now.

 

     You will also notice a possible re-run of the Spirt of 1943. Just an FYI, we have 6 copies of the Sound and DCC version of the Spirt of 1943 available on a first come basis. So if you are quick you can get one now for the holidays. All sound engines are in high demand.

Dear Kato Customer,

     By popular request (as you can imagine, I’m sure), we have announced a provisional pre-order for a new production run of both the recently released SD70ACe #1943 “the Spirit” locomotive in N scale as well as SD70ACe #4141 “George Bush Presidential Library and Museum”.

     ►  These special painted locomotives will be offered as Analog (standard engines and  DCC engines).

     ►  They will also be available with ESU LokSound DCC Sound.

    This will be a provisional pre-order. This means that if our pre-order quantities do not meet a certain minimum quantity by the time of our pre-order deadline, Kato will reserve the right to cancel these items. For this reason it is very important that you place your reservations with PWRS for the full quantity you anticipate wanting across the full lifetime of this product. After the pre-order deadline the production for these items (and whether it will be made or not) will be set. 

     Attached is the product announcement as well as some images of the engines. Again we at Kato want to stress how important it is that we have received the full pre-order reservations for all three versions of each SKU by January 7^th, 2019, so be sure to get your orders in to PWRS well in advance of this date to ensure that you do not miss out. This date is Kato's deadline with the factory to finalize production so we need to know the full amount that customers want at that time.

There will be additional announcements coming later this week from Kato or early next week. We just wanted to make sure we got this out to you as soon as possible to give you the most time we could to take orders.
