This train originally operated through the Nambu line until it changed to the Musashino freight lin between Shitte and Fuchuhommachi for high speed transport. It is featured with the “JP-8” sticker on each side, indicating it is carrying jet fuel used by the United States Air Force. The train currently operates twice a week.
Above is the item for the EF65 locomotive (10-1589) to be pulled with the upcoming fuel cars on this month’s announcement. The item number’s you’ll want to order with these are 3061-2 and 3061-5. They’ll pull this train.
3061-2 EF65 1000 Late Stage (JR)
Kato will manufacture the N-scale model of EF65 1000 the late stage with JR mark put on the body at the time of privatization of JNR. EF65 1000 is a general-use DC electric locomotive for operation on plain areas which was designed for control of double heading and operation in cold regions. The locomotive was widely used to draw normal passenger trains, sleeper blue trains and normal or high-speed cargo trains. On the occasion that Seto Great Bridge was built over the Seto Inland Sea and the sleeper limited express “Seto” came to Takamatsu in Shikoku Island, the locomotive was selected thanks to the relatively light wheel axle weight and used as a tractor locomotive for a long time.
As this locomotive is still actually in service, the scale model can be used to pull a wide range of trains, passenger and cargo trains.
It is recommendable to make it pull #10-1484/1485 Series 24-25 Sleeper limited Express “Seto” planned for simultaneous release.
3061-5 EF65 2000 - “JR” Paint Scheme
Kato will manufacture an N Scale model of the JR color EF65 2000, which is now used to pull cargo and freight trains. Recently, this locomotive is seen operating in wide areas of Japan, ranging from the metropolitan areas to Tokaido, Sanyo, and Shikoku.
