Kato (Japan) has announced the April 2022 Releases
OUIGO 10-Car Passenger Set
・OUIGO(A coined word sounding like “We go”.) is a high speed passenger train service started in 2013 targeting mainly youngsters and families. Not only were all the train cars made 2nd class cars, but by employing non-ticket system like in airplane service and making in-train services charged options and setting the fairs so low as busses or car sharing, it appeared as an “LCC (Low cost carrier) high-speed train version”. At the beginning, it started from Gare de Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy, the closest station to the large theme park in the Paris suburb, but currently starts also from the metropolitan terminals and major stations.
・Enjoy running an European high-speed train along with 10-1529 TGV Réseau Duplex or 10-1657/1658 Thalys PBA/ PBKA new color.

Features
① A new molded body of the locomotives at both ends of the train represents the closed dent beneath the windshield and the added antenna.
② A new pantograph is employed. Pantographs for AC and DC are made differently from each other.
③ Bright blue train color, large polka dot painted on each car and logos characterizing OUIGO are beautifully represented.
④ Handrails and door sills for crew rooms as well as door handles and door rails for passenger cars are represented in silver.
⑤ All the passenger cars interior is represented in sky blue.
⑥ Power unit with flywheel is employed to achieve stable run.
⑦ Head/taillights light up (bulb color LED adopted) Replacing the LED with the dummy PCB supplied with the train will represent the status that two locomotives are connected directly with each other with lights tuned off.
⑧ 20-car train formation can be realized like the real train by removing the coupler cover from the tip of the locomotive and using the drawbar supplied with the product.
⑨ DCC friendly (6-pin DCC socket can be fitted to cars M1 and M2.

Series 313 Passenger Sets
The 313 Series Electric Car was built since 1999 as a new standard type of JR Tokai. It runs in almost all areas of JR Tokai line. The flexibility of its operation -- such as operation with 4 cars, 4+2, 4+4, 2, etc. - results in many styles in actual service.
The scale model Series 313-3000 is now going to be renewed in new specifications and with double pantographs for the first time. The scale model is based on train consist. V9 belonging to Shizuoka rolling stock depot.

This train is a major force in regional transport operated on Iida line, Minobe Line, Gotenba Line, Tokaido Mainline, Minoakasaka branch line and Chuo mainline, etc.
The destination sign on the train is made blank so that various destinations on many lines can be put there, using the stickers supplied with the product.
Shield beam lights and destination rollsign distinctive to the former trains are reproduced.
Series 313-8000 is used to be operated mostly as “Central Liner (Reserved Seat Commuter rapid)” (on Chuo line between Nagoya and Nakatsugawa) that was terminated in 2013. The train is currently in service as normal train or rapid train like series 313 with other car Nos. It is mostly operated as rapid trains between Nagoya and Nakatusgawa and as “Home Liner Mizunami” during evening rush hour.
Kato made a N-scale model of Series 313-5000/5300 which play a central role in the transport on Tokaido line in Chukyo region. The trains belong to Ogaki electric train depot. The train is all furnished with direction-convertible cross seats inside and with dumpers outside between cars for comfortable ride during high speed run.
The 313-5300 is a train consisting of 2 cars of 313-5000. When operated as “Shinkaisoku”, a long train of as many as 8 cars can also be seen.
Series 313 are JR Tokai’s AC suburban trains which appeared in 1999.
Depending on the area, the specs varied with different car No. groups, making the main power in commuter suburban transport of JR Tokai.
The 3rd cars deployed additionally in 2006 has adopted toilets which disabled passengers in wheel chairs, equipped with a space for wheel chair and made barrier free. Besides safety equipment including backup power supply, etc. is furnished. It is also characterized by white headlights (Upper light using LED and lower lamps using HID).

① KUMOHA 313 2350s with 2 rooftop pantographs are newly made with the distinctive roof installed with the characteristic double pantographs.
② 2300s to 2500s are made with new train formation Nos. Safety sings including baby buggy marks etc. are updated.
③ The inside of cars with long seats are reproduced.
④ Head/taillights and front indication lights light up (with turnoff switch)
⑤ Power unit with flywheel has realized stable run. Power cars No. 2300s/2350s are furnished with traction tires.

Hiroden 1001 "Hiroden Bus" (Especially Planned)
Kato will make a scale model of Hiroden 1000 LRT (Light Rail Transit) “Green Mover LEX” operated by Hiroshima Electric Railways Co., Ltd.
Hiroden 1000 LRT is a next generation tram consisting of 3 bodies, 2 cars and super-low floor which debuted in 2013 for operation in Hiroshima City. 16 trains are currently in service.
Along with the standard livery “Green Mover” painted with dark and light greens, Kato will manufacture the scale model of the first built 100th anniversary versions Hiroden 1001 “PICCORO” and Hiroden 1002 “PICCOLA” in the anniversary red colors. They will be released as especially planned scale Models.
Tram No. 1001 is a distinctive tram wrapped in “Hiroden Bus” paint scheme on a front and a side with the elegant green and white stripe, leaving the other front and side unwrapped in the normal Hiroden livery.
Tram No. 1002 is fully changed into the wrapping of “Flower Train” in April, 2016 to advertise “Hiroshima Flower Festival” held in Hiroshima City in May of every year, and in service with the wrapping even now.

・ Tram No. 1002 “Flower Train” is fully wrapped in cool light green stripe with pleasant flowers blooming on it.
③ Head/tail lights light up.
④ Negotiable minimum radius: R90 Compatible to Unitrack compact and Unitram.

EF80 1st Electric Locomotive
The real locomotive, the scale model is made after, is an AC/DC locomotive model which was in service on the Joban line from 1962 to 1967. As AC/DC locomotive, it has adopted the method of installing a motor on each truck.
The locomotive is one of the 1st models which was used to draw both of freight and passenger trains. It is featured with the front less eaves and fitted with the original simple side windows of the cab.
The scale model is the most suitable to pull #10-1518 Series 20 Sleeper Express “Yuzuru” planned for the simultaneous release and it is recommendable as the locomotive to draw express, local and freight trains then in service on the Joban line.
