Kato (Japan) has announced the August 2023 Releases
The E257 5000 entered service in 2021 and is a refurbished version of the E257 0, a limited express going to Kofu/Matsumoto. The front head is similar to 2000 series trains like "Odoriko" and "Shonan", but the interior has only been changed a bit, for example by adding luggage space. One special feature of this train is the green stripe on its white body.

・The green design on the sides is reproduced with dark and light green stripes.
・The minimal distance between the car body and the window glass on the sides is accurately reproduced.
・The head-/taillights and front head mark are illuminated.
・Includes destination display stickers.
After the Series 651 AC/DC limited express train had retired as the limited express "Super Hitachi" on the Joban Line, it underwent remodeling and continued to be used as the limited express "Swallow Akagi" on the Takasaki Line system and as the "Kusatsu" and "Akagi" replacing Series 185. Grieved after by many, its retirement from fixed-time operations as a Takasaki Line limited express was announced with schedule revisions in March 2023.

Re-Run
JR Hokkaido's 789 series 1000 series, the latest limited express train that connects Sapporo and various places, will be operated as "Kamui" between Sapporo and Asahikawa and "Suzuran" between Sapporo and Muroran. The origin of "Kamui" comes from the Ainu language, which means a high-ranking spiritual being with a divinity.
Inheriting the urban silver impression of the 785 series in the high cab design, it appeared in 2007 as the L limited express "Super Kamui" and the rapid "Airport", replacing the conventional 781 series. Features such as the sharp headlights, the beauty of the 5-car train, which is short but well-proportioned, the underfloor equipment that is fully covered to prevent snow from accumulating, and JR Hokkaido's unique reserved seat service "u-seat". In addition, the modern silver metallic stainless steel body and the difference in texture of the steel forehead are reproduced with KATO's unique technology.

A model of the JR Freight version of EF81 300, which is still active today on Kyushu transporting freight. In 2010, its former operations in Kanmon were taken over by its succesor EH500, and EF81 300 started its service on Kyushu.

The UT13C is a 20 ft long tank container that was newly manufactured in 2009. Because it transports concentrated nitric acid solution, which is highly corrosive and oxidizing, the body is made of aluminium.
