● The Kyushu Shinkansen Series 800 in special wrapping, which was operated in the 10th anniversary event of the Kyushu Shinkansen line opening, will be released as a scale model by KATO. The "Shooting Star" was a train specially decorated on 12th March 2021, with design of shooting star accompanied with written wishes that wishes that had been publically collected, with the idea of "making the Shinkansen a shooting star and making everyone's wishes come true.
The train was operated one way from Kagoshima Chuo Station to Hakata Station after sunset, with colorful interior lighting and moving lights installed inside the train and emitting light outside the train.
The train ran at low speed, which is rare for a Shinkansen, and sometimes stopped between stations, making it a major event that involved the entire area along the train line. After that, the moving lights were removed and the train was operated as a regular train with the special wrapping until the end of May.
◆ A scale model of the Kyushu Shinkansen Series 800 "Shooting Star", which became a big topic of conversation to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the entire line, will be released. You can enjoy them together with the “Sakura・Tsubame”, which are scheduled for Re-run, as well as other trains operating in the Kyushu area.

● Series 7000-0 was transferred from JR East to IGR Iwate Galaxy Railway which scale model will be released by KATO.When the Tohoku Shinkansen Hachinohe opened, the IGR Iwate Galaxy Railway was a joint public and private enterprise line between Morioka and Metoki on the Tohoku Main Line. In addition to its own routes, it is operated by JR East's Kitakami and Aoimori Railway's Hachinohe lines.
Basically, 2-car trains are operated independently, but (2 + 2) 4-car trains can also be seen between Kitakami and Iwatenumakunai.

Passenger Car Series 701-0 3-Car Passenger Set
● There are 10 three-car trains set and 27 two-car trains set for one-man operation (as of 2020) of Series 701-0 at the Akita Train Center.
Series 701-0 operates only in the Akita area, and is characterized by the tail light being positioned lower and an electric generator being installed as the auxiliary power unit.
It supports regional transportation over a wide area, mainly in Akita, between Shinjo and Aomori on the “Ou Main Line”, between Sakata and Akita on the “Uetsu Main Line”, and between Aomori and Kanita on the “Tsugaru Line”.

Taiwan High Speed Rail 700T 6-Car Passenger Sets
The Taiwan High Speed Rail (commonly known as Taiwan High Speed Rail) is the first Shinkansen in Taiwan that opened in 2007 between Taipei and Kaohsiung (345km). The tracks and equipment are owned by the European Union, but the vehicle was developed based on the 700 Series Shinkansen, which is active on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen.
The 700T vehicle, which was developed according to the climate of Taiwan, has a maximum speed of 300 Km / h and is active in connecting Nangang (Taipei) and Sae (Kaohsiung) in a maximum of 1 hour and 36 minutes.
800 Kyushu Shinkansen“Sakura/Tsubame” 6-Car Passenger Set
The Kyushu Shinkansen, which opened in March 2011. With the opening of all lines, some of the 800 series, which have been active from the past, have been changed to the car body, the logo mark has been renewed, and it is now operated under the new name "Sakura". It shows its true character in a calm car, and is becoming more and more active while driving on the Kyushu Shinkansen.
KATO has already released and upgraded the popular Kyushu Shinkansen 800 series, just like the actual car. We will deliver the newly refurbished 800 series Shinkansen with the window layout changed and the logo changed completely.
